Anxiety can feel like a mind that won’t slow down — persistent worry, a tight chest, trouble sleeping, or a constant sense that something is about to go wrong. For some people it shows up as panic; for others it’s a low hum of dread that quietly shapes the choices they make and the risks they avoid.

In therapy, we work to understand what your anxiety is protecting you from and what it’s trying to tell you. Rather than only managing symptoms, we look at the patterns and earlier experiences that keep anxiety in place. I draw on approaches including cognitive and dialectical behavioral skills, mindfulness, and psychodynamic exploration, tailored to what fits you.

Over time, clients often find they can tolerate uncertainty more comfortably, quiet harsh self-criticism, and respond to stress with more flexibility and self-compassion.

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Oregon, and I see adults and college students entirely by telehealth, so we can meet from wherever you are in either state.
